Editorial policy

Our editorial approach is to make garden subjects clear without making them sound simpler than they are. We aim for careful wording, useful context and a visible distinction between established information, interpretation and opinion.

Accuracy and updates

We check names, descriptions and factual details before publication, and take care not to overstate what a general explanation can establish. Garden conditions vary, so we distinguish broad design ideas from advice that depends on a particular site. Readers can send possible errors through the Contact page. We review substantiated corrections and update published wording where needed, making the change clear when it materially affects the article.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices are made for the publication's readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. Paid placements and other partner material are identified plainly as such, and are kept distinct from independent editorial articles. A partnership does not guarantee an article, endorsement or review.

Images and illustrations

Images are chosen to support the subject and should not be read as proof that a plant or design will suit every garden. Some illustrations are AI-generated; where relevant, they are identified so readers can distinguish an illustrative image from a photograph of a real garden.
