Write for us
We welcome considered pitches about garden design, plants, materials, care and garden history. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to understand the idea and its value to readers.
What makes a good pitch
A strong proposal has one clear subject, a specific reader question and a useful angle that can stand apart from our existing coverage. Tell us the proposed focus, the main points you would explain and why the subject has lasting interest. A concise outline is more helpful than a broad list of themes.
The work we welcome
We are interested in explainers, comparisons, historical context, myth-checking and occasion or season-based pieces grounded in everyday garden choices. Pitches should be self-contained and readable by a general audience. Be clear about the limits of any advice, especially when conditions vary by location or site.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option, then include your working title and pitch in the message. Please send a proposal rather than a complete unsolicited article. A submission does not imply acceptance or a publication date.
